News » AAKD Assembly miss IGF Target

18 October

The Abura Asebu Kwamankese District Assembly had as at August, 2012 collected an amount of GHs 85,707.20 representing 56.5% as its internally generated funds as against the GHs 151,714.00 revenue target for the year.

Briefing members at an assembly sitting, the District Chief Executive, Mr. William Ata-Mends noted that GHs 14,000.00 of the said amount was generated from hiring of the assembly’s tipper truck.

According to him the assembly can only score an appreciable percentage if owners of selected valued properties would pay their bills appropriately.

However further speaking on the assembly’s finances, the DCE also revealed that, though the assembly expected GHs 176,634.67 as its own share of the Common Fund for the first quarter of 2012, it only received GHs 93,666.76.

He added that only GHs 76,747.28 out of the expected GHs 149,224.80 was also received for the second quarter.

He therefore appealed to members to intensify their effort to internal revenue mobilization to augment the Common Fund in order to ensure total development in the area.
